The Adamson House Museum is open to the public and allows people to tour a 1929 Spanish Colonial Revival Home to gain a sense of Malibu's original architectural past. On the Pepperdine campus, patrons of the arts can spend hours looking through art in the tastefully curated collection at the Frederick R. Weisman Museum. The annual Malibu Chili Cookoff is more than a chili contest and is, instead, a lavish carnival with rides, food, and amusing games held near Legacy Park. Places like the Trancas Canyon Nursery and other Christmas tree lots let locals celebrate the holiday season with real pine trees.
